Tahma is a newcomer in Finnish noise, a project that was introduced to me few months back with a self released tape of 5 copies. I thought that tape was too good to remain that small, so it needed a bigger run. It shows a new artist, maybe still on a journey to find his sound, but has maturity and vision for good noise. It seems, sounds are made using fairly simple building blocks but finding out a fair amount of personality from it.

Soundwise this is ’broken noise’. There is something wrong. It’s like being stuck on a short circuit loop without finding a new connection, a way out. Dead ends of sparking electrical wires franticly looking for a ground like someone who’s drowning are gasping desperately air to breathe. Damaged brain synapses trying to fire up conciousness of decayed remains but resulting only static physical ground fault. It all sounds still very organic, like a brainstorming hive mind operating inside an ant’s nest observed on a microscopic level.
